I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Ms. Emmanuelli and I will be your child’s 3rd grade English teacher for the term of 2013-2014. As such, it will be my responsibility to teach your child, to not only love the English language, but to also become proficient in all of its aspects including listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Your child’s education is of great importance and it is a responsibility that falls on both the teacher and the parents/guardians. I assure you that I am fully committed to my job and that your child will receive the best education possible. But in order to accomplish this we must work together as a team. That is why I ask you to please check your child’s notebook on a daily basis since it will serve as a way to maintain communication. Homework assignments, tests, grades and other activities pertinent to the English class will be announced there. Any information sent home will require the parents/guardians signature as confirmation that the message was received. If we all work together and help each other out I am certain that things will run smoothly this year.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child and his/her progress, you may make an appointment and I will gladly meet with you.
I am looking forward to a very successful year and I’m excited about the journey we are about to embark upon together! I’m sure it will be one filled with many wonderful learning experiences!
